SomeWhereOut’s new album Deep In The Old Forest was released on January 15, 2021.
Deep In The Old Forest is the second LP of the conceptual project conceived by the composer and guitarist from Málaga (Spain) Raúl Lupiañez.
After dealing with the stories of writer Isaac Asimov on his first 2019 album Eternity, Infinity, Raúl now delves into European folk tales. Going in depth into the themes of the lyrics through a mix of metal, progressive rock and post-rock, adding influences from 19th century orchestral music. Previous contributions to the first album are increased by the collaboration of artists like Eduardo Antón from War Dogs, Jesús Martinez from The Ivory Hawks and Jose Mañas from The Oxide Pipes, completing a cast of great talent. Recorded at Big Sound Corp and The Forest Studio, the album has been produced and mixed by Raúl Lupiañez and mastered by Israel Lupi.
As a preview, SomeWhereOut present the lyric video of the first single release from the album Bones, Blood and Fear, featuring Dante Martín from Neptunia on vocals and Eduardo Antón from War Dogs and David Santana from The Void on guitar solos.
If that has whetted your appetite then here is the second single: Our Promise
